Marc Marquez will start the final race of the MotoGP ™ World Championship 2015 from second on the grid. Repsol Honda rider pushed to the limit but was unable to get within 0.4s of untouched Jorge Lorenzo (Yamaha Movistar) during Q2. Marquez has been towards the top of the time sheets in most of the sessions during the weekends Gran Premio de la Comunitat Valenciana Motul and has had the race pace to match the speed of the lap.
Sunday at the age of the tires will be important, all weekend Honda rider has been having some problems with overheating ahead and look forward to the cold race conditions.
These three riders on the front row seems to have the same race pace and a solid start can help to improve tire problems later in the race if Marquez can break away and manage the gap. Valencia GP seem to be a sold-out affair and Marquez hopes to take the sixth victory of the season in front of his home fans. Perhaps there is a battle going on behind the title, but Marquez has his sights set on victory as he looks to put the issue behind Sepang before looking ahead to 2016 and try to take back his crown.
Marc Marquez: "It's all very close at the time sheet with regard to race pace and I think it will be a tough race tomorrow; there are not many of us. We need to see what happens with the tires and how the bike responds after ten laps successive respectively. We are equal with Dani and Jorge and I will try to get on the podium and hoping to fight for victory in this last race in 2015! "
